WorldCause Foundation Provides Specialized Handicapped Stroller to Young Girl, Age 7

WorldCause Foundation is proud to announce the successful completion of its most recent outreach initiative, the purchase and donation of a specialized handicapped stroller for Jahzara Saffold.

Jahzara, age 7, was first brought to the foundations attention through our friends at the Miami Herald Wishbook Department, who have helped continue to inform our organization about people in need throughout the South Florida region. Jahzara, one of three other children born to a loving family was born with Cerebral Palsy. As a result of this condition, and a stroke she suffered at age 1, Jahzara is non-verbal, unable to sit up entirely and does not walk.

Jahzara's mother Zola and her family work very hard to provide her with a better quality of life but were financially unable to purchase the specialized Clipper handicapped stroller she needed. WorldCause Foundation was able to correspond with Jeannette Arroyo of Hollywood Medical Supply and determine the cost associated with this specialized stroller and get the product ordered for Jahzara.

Zola, Jahzara, and Robert Preston of WorldCause Foundation met with Jeannette Arroyo once the stroller was delivered so Jahzara's mom could get a lesson on the functionality of the stroller.

Zola expressed her gratitude to our organization and let us know that as a result of this brand new transportable handicapped stroller, Jahzara's quality of life will improve greatly. The current wheelchair she uses is very heavy and makes simple trips to the grocery store or outside more complicated. This clipper stroller folds up easily and maintains it compactness for easy on the go transportation. Jahzara will now have increased freedom to go outside, visit theme parks, the mall and virtually anywhere else with this new stroller.

Although Jahzara has not had an easy road this beautiful girl still finds time to smile and brighten up the spirits of those around her. WorldCause Foundation would like to thank Roberta DiPierto and Debbie Magenheimer of Miami Herald Wishbook , Jeanette Arroyo of Hollywood Medical Supply, Jahzara's case manager, Ollie Wilson at Agency for Persons with Disabilities, and Zola Saffold and family for everyone's help in coordinating this fulfilling and special initiative.
