WorldCause Foundation Provides Disabled American Veterans With $25,000.00 Grant

DAV

WorldCause Foundation is pleased to announce the presentation of a $25,000.00 grant to Disabled American Veterans, a 501 (c)(4) organization dedicated to providing outreach to our nations veterans.

Founded on September 25th, 1920, Disabled American Veterans is the longest lasting veteran's advocacy and assistance group in the United States. According to the organizations website, Disabled American Veterans is dedicated to a single purpose: empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity.

DAV accomplishes this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them; fighting for the interests of America's injured heroes on Capitol Hill; and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.

Furthermore, the DAV website lists some of the services their organization provides to our veterans, these include:

Providing free, professional assistance to veterans and their families in obtaining benefits and services earned through military service and provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other agencies of government.

DAV also provides outreach concerning its program services to the American people, and to disabled veterans and their families specifically, as well as representing the interests of disabled veterans, their families, their widowed spouses and their orphans before Congress, the White House and the Judicial Branch, as well as state and local government.

These services allow DAV to extend its mission of hope into the communities where these veterans and their families live through a network of state-level Departments and local chapters. Furthermore it provides a structure through which disabled veterans can express their compassion for their fellow veterans through a variety of volunteer programs.

WorldCause Foundation would like to thank each donor for the 2013 Mustang Dream Giveaway, Disabled American Veterans, and Dream Giveaway Inc. The grants provided will allow each organization to continue fulfilling its respective mission statement, helping to make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need.
